1. Data Storage

This app stores all data exclusively locally on your device. No data is sent or transmitted to external servers.

Stored Data

  • Your selected state (e.g., "SN" for Saxony)
  • Your exam date
  • Your learning progress (answered questions, right/wrong answers)
  • Your language setting
  • Your current streak
  • Your TTS speed setting
  • Optional: Your name (local only, unless synced)
  • Optional: Your profile picture (local only, unless synced)

Storage Method

Data is stored using Hive (local database) and SharedPreferences on your device. This data is only accessible on your device and is not synced.

Data Synchronization

We use Supabase (hosted in Germany/EU) to sync your license status and learning progress. We use anonymous authentication; no email or personal data is required unless you voluntarily link an account.

Optional Profile Data:

  • You can optionally add your name and a profile picture
  • This data is stored only locally by default
  • You can choose to sync this data in our database
  • Free users: Can change their name once
  • Pro users: Can change their name unlimited times
  • Profile pictures are only synced if you have enabled synchronization

Shared Progress (Pro Feature):

  • Pro subscribers can sync their learning progress on up to 3 devices
  • Progress is automatically synced between all devices
  • If you lose your device, you can restore your progress on a new one
  • Progress is linked via a RevenueCat Customer ID
  • Free users: Progress is device-specific and not synced between devices

2. Camera Access

This app uses your device's camera exclusively for scanning QR codes from PDF exam sheets. The camera is NOT used for:

  • Taking photos
  • Recording videos
  • Storing images or videos
  • Transmitting images or videos to external servers

How is the camera used?

  • The camera is only activated when you use the "Scan QR Code" function in the app
  • Camera data is processed only locally on your device
  • No images or videos are stored or transmitted
  • The camera is deactivated immediately after the QR code is scanned

3. Text-to-Speech (TTS)

This app uses Flutter TTS to read questions aloud in German. The TTS function works completely offline on your device. No audio data is sent to external services.

4. Artificial Intelligence (AI Tutor)

We use an API interface (Groq AI) for our AI tutor. When you use the AI tutor, the questions or prompts entered are transmitted to the API for processing. No personal data from you is transmitted in this process.

5. Website & Vercel Analytics

This website is hosted via Vercel. Vercel collects technical data (such as anonymized IP addresses, browser type, operating system) on every visit for technical operations, statistical evaluations, and security purposes.

  • All data is stored locally
  • No data transmission takes place without your explicit permission
  • Your data is processed encrypted and anonymized
  • You have full control over your data

6. GDPR Compliance

This app is fully GDPR compliant because:

  • To view your stored data
  • To delete your data (via the "Reset Progress" function in settings)
  • To uninstall the app (this deletes all data)

9. Device Limit for Pro Subscribers

Pro subscribers can activate their progress on up to 3 devices simultaneously. If a fourth device is added, the oldest device is automatically reset to the free plan. This prevents abuse and ensures fair use.
